Geweldig vroeger op het dak en nu er onder mooie ontwikkeling met mijn 67 jaar

I was excited about applying to Tilburg University, considering they offer interesting study programs and they claim to focus not only on knowledge but also shaping character and soft skills. I visited the University and was also impressed by the location, aesthetics of the buildings and the surroundings. However all of this became confronted with the fact that my skills, education to date etc as a mature student was considered insufficient to be eligible for the Master's program directly but rather it was suggested that I participate in a preparatory 6 month course first. I find it difficult to understand, considering I already have a Master's degree, plus 14 years of professional experience in highly prestigious organisations. Their justification of their decision was my subjective responses to their questionnaire about knowledge of some statistical concepts. I would understand if it was backed up by formal entry examination that would show the actual level of my knowledge of these concepts. It is of a huge dissonance for  me how this decision has been made and in that case who is worthy to study for the Master's Degree immediately, without the preparatory 6-month course first if a person with one Master's Degree and 14 years of professional work experience isn't.

I wanted to follow hier a master program next year but even their online open day was chaotic so better to find another place. They have very limited part time master options for working professionals by the way!

Interessante mensen hier ontmoet, de een omdat ze dat nou eenmaal zijn, de ander omdat zij stinkend hun best doen ALSOF.

Ben wel enorm dankbaar voor de papiertjes!! Heb ik toch nog wat teruggekregen voor de tijd die ik op de Tilburg University heb doorgebracht.

Lopen ook genoeg mensen rond die je echt gunnen, maar die zijn niet atijd makkelijk te bereiken helaas. Je zal beetje creatief moeten zijn om hun nodige aandacht en tijd te krijgen.

TIP: Die STUDIEverenigingen zijn er niet voor niets, mijn diploma heb ik vooral aan hen te danken en aan de leraren die echt moeite doen om materialen begrijpbaar te maken voor iedereen.

Mooie omgeving op de campus. Sommige gangen en ruimtes in de gebouwen zijn in 30 jaar nog steeds het zelfde en lijken meer op een crematorium.

Veel te moeilijk om hier een diploma te halen!!!!

I'm a prospective student. So far from the website,I love what am seeing, the website is quite explicit and easy to navigate and all information I need is available. Then, the personalised brochure is amazing!

Verzamel plaats voor drugs gebruikers en kansloze verslaafde

Deze ene ster is nog te veel. Laten je op komen dagen voor gesprek bij een open avond waar niemand is die je te woord kan staan. Daarna andere pogingen tot contact (mail en telefoon) werken niet. 3 weken later hoor je dan dat je beter een andere instelling kan zoeken. Dat hebben ze dan wel weer goed ja.

Nice campus. A lot of green (in spring and summer mostly), great facilities and buildings close-by.

Had a very pleasant time while being there for summer school for the English course. Very nice people and always happy to help.

I really enjoyed my exchange year at Tilburg University!

Understanding Society!

I attended to Summer Courses in the Institute of Statelessness and Inclusion in Tilburg University only for 10 days and yet and it was super interesting for me. Facilities were great, obviously it is bike friendly, I liked the architecture. Well located not far from the train station. Highly recommended.

Good environment

Ik ben hier zelf een hele tijd student geweest. Het ligt lekker in de buurt van een treinstation en is op fietsafstand van het Centraal Station. Alles wat een universiteit moet hebben is hier wel te vinden ergens.
Parkeerplaatsen zijn er ook genoeg in de buurt. Helaas zitten niet alle gebouwen met elkaar verbonden. Als het regent en je moet naar een ander gebouw, word je nat.

Ben hier een tijd student geweest. Is een mooie en goede universiteit gelegen in het bos. Groot voordeel is de kleinschalige campus waardoor je nauwelijks afstanden hoeft te overbruggen. Helaas is de stad Tilburg in vergelijking met andere studentensteden niet een van de mooiste.

Spent about 3 months here, a very welcoming and supporting university for exchange & international students! Great academic standards, nice people, perfect library, and restaurant / canteen is clean & affordable also.
